This continuing series began in 2019 with Peter Hristoff’s two-day figure drawing marathon with five models. In its most recent iteration, the East River site of Manhattanhenge, viewed from Roosevelt Island, is the locale for a Pandemic-inspired escape by a single bather. In between, the same figure, inspired by Cézanne’s monumental series of bathers, comes into his own as he emerges through a drawing of a woman done from life.
